The Lands Of Curnen
Where in Curnen...? Exactly. Here is a list of the
realms of Curnen and their pronunciations. Enjoy!
Curnen (Kur-nen): The land of Pure Fyre, consisting of eight realms, each of which is inhabited by different creatures and people.
Gaernod (Gayer-nod): The human kingdom ruled by Afor. The people of Gaernod care only for their own well-being and show aggression to anyone who meets their eye. They consider themselves to be lesser to the Kingdom of Gelyfed, which is gifted with talents given to them by the Fyre. For this, they harbor bitterness toward the citizens of Gelyfed, none moreso than King Afor himself.
Tweogan Forest (Tway-o-gon): Dwelling of the elves, a race that doubts everything they hear or think. The elves often find themselves under attack from Gaernod citizens looking to hunt them for sport.
Aforthian Mountains (A-four-thee-an): Dwelling place of the trolls, an angry race of brutish creatures who resent the Gaernods for placing soldiers on their mountain to dominate them.
Cape of Eofot (Ay-o-fought): A narrow beach at the shore of the Sea of Modwen that is home to the dust-like creatures known as wisps.
Modwen Sea (Moh-dwhen): A usually tranquil body of water that houses the equally peaceful sea-folk.
Laefa Pinewood (Lay-fah): A mystical forest of sprites, governed over and protected by the trees.
Gelyfed (Gehl-ee-fed): The Blessed Kingdom. The people of Gelyfed wear crystals that bestow upon them individual gifts fueled by a force known as the Fyre. The king of Gelyfed leads his people through a connection with the otherworld of Bryta and the wisdom of its residents. This particular gift is known as the Pure Fyre.
Tir (Teer): A desert of ancient dust and ruins said to house the mythical Source of the Fyre. No Gelyfed has ever ventured into Tir and returned to confirm this suspicion.
Bryta (Brit-a): The world where souls go when they have passed from life. Also the dwelling place of knowledgeable spirits who supply the King of Gelyfed with the wisdom he needs to keep his people secure.
